Phil Liro (Registered Heritage Advisor (Victoria), Masters of Archaeological Science, Major in Geoarchaeology, ANU, BA Archaeology, History and Philosophy of Science, Double Major in Archaeology and Politics/International Relations, La Trobe University

A senior cultural heritage consultant, registered heritage advisor and archaeologist who has diverse experience in the heritage disciplines utilising his background in geoarchaeology. He has a master’s degree in archaeological science from the Australian National University with supporting degrees in education and archaeology/international relations from La Trobe University. During his career, Phil has worked on a variety of complex stakeholder projects, notably within the major transport and urban development sectors for private, government and industrial clients by facilitating Cultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMP), Environment Effects Statements (EES), Due Diligence (DD) and project specific advice. He has been working throughout Australia but specialises in Victorian cultural heritage legislation and consultation with Traditional Owner (TO) groups and Registered Aboriginal Parties (RAP). His focus is on leveraging a scientific understanding of landscapes and integrating the cultural needs of projects within the scope of development for clients. Phil has authored and co-authored a variety CHMP, DD, Amendments and Salvages requiring tailored cultural heritage engagement, management conditions, facilitation of compliance and project specific assistance.

Olivia Cashemere (BA USyd, MSc Leiden University, B. Nursing UTS)

Olivia has over 5 years’ experience in heritage consulting and prior to this participated in a variety of field schools and projects. Olivia has been involved in several major projects across a variety of sectors including renewables (wind and solar), mining and public infrastructure (roads and rails). In this capacity, she has been fortunate to work with a variety of Traditional Owner groups in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales. Olivia is an extremely motivated and fast learner and is always willing to embrace new Projects with a positive attitude and open communication.
