History At Work’s goal is for history and heritage to be accessible, relatable and meaningful in people’s lives. We’ve worked with communities, places, and collections for twenty years, applying sensitive, empathetic, and responsible methodologies to our heritage studies, interpretations, oral histories and community consultations, local and community histories, and collection management projects. Our clients include state and local government, institutions and private clients, individuals and families, and community and not-for-profit groups. Our team is qualified and experienced in history, cultural heritage management, and museum studies so that, no matter the project, we engage deeply with the substance of the history – what has happened – and the significance of the heritage – the places, objects and intangible culture remaining from the past.
