Professional Affiliations / Qualifications
Our Director, Dr Jennifer Jones-Travers, has 20 years of experience as an archaeologist and is approved as an Excavation Director for sites of local and State significance in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania. She has a PhD specialising in Australian archaeology and artefact analysis and is a full international member of ICOMOS, as well as a listed Heritage Advisor with First Peoples-State Relations.
Jennifer has spent most of the last decade working for two of the largest specialist heritage consultancies in Australia in senior roles and has brought this experience to her own consultancy. Jennifer has led projects at sites of state, national and world heritage significance, including:

Jennifer has a firm grounding in heritage legislation at a local and state level in Victoria, as well as Commonwealth legislation. She can provide expert heritage input into projects ranging from minor house renovations through to large-scale infrastructure projects. Her areas of expertise include historical archaeology, artefact analysis and collections management.
Jennifer is currently serving as the Member with Expertise in Archaeology on the Tasmanian Heritage Council. She is Chair of the Archaeological Advisory Panel and member of both the Works Committee and Registration Committee.
